Mission Statement

Trinity County Animal Auxiliary (TASA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to help fund and support the spay/neuter programs, shelter veterinarian medical costs, altering shelter animals,
fund the TNR program for feral cats and any other needs to support the animal welfare efforts for the Trinity County Animal Shelter. TASA relies on fundraisers, donations and grants to continue to provide these services and will do our best to ensure the highest level of humane care for the shelter animals. TASA will also educate the public and schools about being a responsible pet owner and raise awareness of humane issues.

TNR Program

Trap. Neuter/Spay. Release.
We work with communities within Trinity County in areas where feral cats are abundant. The cats are humanely trapped and taken to local veterinarian clinics to be altered, given a rabies vaccine and treated for any medical conditions. They are then released back to the area where they were originally trapped. Their right ear tip is trimmed so they can be identified.

Spay/Neuter Shelter Animals

We provide the funds to spay/neuter cats and dogs at Trinity County Animal Shelter.

Medical for Shelter Animals

We pay the medical bills for animals that are brought in to the shelter sick or injured.

Spay/Neuter Vouchers for Adopted Animals

Residents of Trinity County who adopt an unaltered animal from the shelter receive a voucher to help toward the cost of spay/neuter. The vouchers are funded by TASA.

Spay/Neuter for pets of Trinity Residents

TASA has multiple programs that assist residents with the cost of spaying or neutering their pets. Check out our Spay/Neuter page for more information!

Shelter Needs

TASA funds the purchases of equipment needed by the shelter. From sheds and washers to generators and dog beds, TASA provides!
